Hearst Castle June 6 2011

We arrive at the Hearst castle at there is a bit of fog around. We have to take a bus up to the top for the tour. William Randolph Hearst built this 165 room castle on the spot (one of their ranches)where he went with his family for camping holidays when he was little. Their are smaller homes for guests as well. There are 14th century tapestries hanging on the walls that are massive, there is a sculpture in the gardens that dates back to when Moses was alive. There is more than 22,000 pieces of art. The place is amazing. Your jaw drops every time you see something new. My camera did not stop clicking there was so much to see. This was well worth the visit. We were going to drive along the coast to San Francisco as there are some beautiful spots along the way but due to some landslides the road had completely washed away in some areas and was closed so we had to drive inland to San Francisco. We arrive at our hotel which is right in the middle at Union Square.
